Real World Switchgrass is a variety developed after extensive testing on numerous properties in several states. The goal was to find a tall variety that would stand up to brutal winter weather conditions such as snow, wind, and ice. In extreme weather situations where Real World Switchgrass gets laid over by ice or wet snow or wind, it will spring back up after the snow or ice melts, unlike most other varieties. Don't be fooled by the "new and improved" Switchgrass varieties that have been introduced in recent years. Real World Switchgrass takes slightly longer to establish but ultimately gets taller and stands better than any other variety available anywhere.
